About Us
Mission

Ooltewah Baptist Church provides families and individuals in our community a Christ-centered environment to serve, worship and grow spiritually in order to strengthen relationships and transform lives.

Vision

Ooltewah Baptist Church’s vision is to boldly share God’s love and using the gifts that He has provided, we will serve the community through effective ministry that impacts lives and develops strong Christian leaders for generations to come.

Core Values

We believe that God is the final authority in all things and we seek his supreme guidance in everything we do. His Word (The Bible) is the ultimate source of direction for our lives. We commit to these values to guide our actions and decision-making as a body of believers in Jesus Christ, Our Lord. We value:

  •  Putting Christ First (in all things) by:
        Honoring God
        Loving God
        Being Faithful to God

  • Striving for Spiritual Growth by:
        Being Obedient to God
Being Prepared and Ready to Serve
        Living Consistent Lives of Integrity
Growing the Fruit of the Spirit

  • Strengthening Relationships by:
        Loving Others Around Us
        Showing Friendliness and Enthusiasm
        Being "Real" to Others (Transparent)
Being Humble, Sincere, Genuine and Loyal
        Bringing Encouragement to Families
        Extending Grace and Mercy
        Haling Wounds
        Bringing Unity

Strategic Goals

  1. Develop discipleship programs that facilitate spiritual growth and maturity among church members.
  2. Access members' spiritual gifts and encourage their development to further the Kingdom.
  3. Increase both the number and percentage of members actively serving in ministries (i.e. engage more members to strengthen ministry activities).
  4. Build a strong evangelistic culture that includes training of our members to work in opportunities created through ministries.
  5. Develop and grow effective ministries to serve the community in accordance with the spiritual gifts that God has provided our church.
