WMU represents persons who have heard God's Great Commission call.  We believe that God calls each Christian to understand and embrace the Great Commission as their own personal mandate.  Our work centers around six areas of mission focus:

-- Pray for missions

--Engage in mission action and witnessing

--Learn about missions

--Support missions

--Develop spiritually toward a missions life style

--Participate in the work of the church and the denomination

Monthly Activities:

Women on Mission (Ages 20 and up) meet the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM in room # 110.   Following a time of fellowship and lunch we focus on missions.   Our programs include hands on mission projects and trips, study and a variety of other activities.

Children in Action (grades 1-5) meet the third Sunday of each month during the morning worship.  Our goal is to make missions fun and exciting for the children.

Mission Friends (Ages 3-5) meet the third Sunday of each month during the morning worship.  They will learn the important concept of how to be more like Jesus by praying, giving, and doing missions.

We seek to lead church members to expand their worldview during their spiritual journey by:

--Observing the week of International Missions Emphasis and supporting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

--Becoming aware of our part in the Southern Baptist World Hunger outreach.

--Participating in the Baptist Woman's World Day of Prayer.

--Challenging church members to be more involved in missions in North American and support our missionaries through the Annie Armstrong Offering.
